Writer, publicist, philanthropist, entrepreneur and influencer; loving wife and committed mother; avid traveler, photographer, culinarian and a closet comedian with excellent taste in music, Dontrey Britt-Hart is a Renaissance woman in full. Professionally, she spent the early days of her career managing tech and consumer brands, preparing her clients for their closeups and keeping their names in the headlines. When it was time for motherhood, she happily traded in her stilettos for sneakers to raise her three sons – Jonah, Aidan and Matthew – design her family’s forever home in Hyde Park, Chicago, and devote her time to causes that are close to her heart, including education, women’s health, and the arts.

In 2021, inspired by a love of travel, photography, homecooking, and sisterhood — and her Grandma Johnnie’s unmistakable joie de vivre — Britt-Hart launched Denim & Damask, a lifestyle blog that celebrates culture and community, the feminine voice and the written word, family, and the exploration of beauty and flavor. And now, as the owner and operator of Hyde Park Villa at The Tryall Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica, an exclusive-use property set within a private resort community on the country’s vibrant north coast, she’s inviting guests to experience the good life firsthand — one sun-kissed, laughter-filled day at a time.
